Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-07-27
Under the CCPA/CPRA and equivalent US state statutes you may direct a business to stop selling or sharing your personal information for targeted advertising. Here is what that means on this site, and how to do it.
Where This Applies
The honest description: there is no monetary sale of your data. But where advertising is served here, cookie and advertising identifiers may pass to advertising partners, and the broad statutory definitions can treat that as a sale or a share. Rather than split hairs, we let you opt out of it. This right is available to every reader of countlane.com, not only to readers interested in Countlane who have contacted us or joined the mailing list.
The Practical Result
The change is to targeting alone: identifiers stop being shared, and any ads shown become generic. Site access is completely unaffected, and no reader is penalised for opting out.
Turning This Off
Opt out in whichever way suits. Global Privacy Control, enabled in your browser, is honoured here automatically and needs no contact with us. The consent banner, where displayed, lets you refuse advertising cookies. Or email hello@countlane.com with subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. Creating an account is never a condition.
See the State Privacy Notice for the complete picture on state privacy rights.
